This painting was completed in Boston, Massachusetts in 2007. A mid morning light hits some of the older architecture dotting the Charles River, as seen from the Esplanade walking path. The glint of a single car can be seen streaking across Storrow Drive.
This is an oil painting that was completed in studio, based on photographs taken by the artist. This piece was part of a larger city panorama. Sarah divided the larger piece into several small paintings, and this is one of two paintings that made the cut, as a more successful composition on its own.
Painted in oil on canvas, this painting has been finished with a transparent gloss varnish to protect it from dust and UV light. It arrives ready to hang, in a custom silver leaf frame.
